Wastewater containing oil-, metal- andheavy metals results from a high-pressure cleaning of motors andparts. AWAS offers a combined oil separating and oil conveying systemof the GALAXIE 2002 and the emulsion splitting system with heavymetal precipitation - AWAS ADF-I - in order to comply with theformalities as well as to offer a cost saving and low-maintenancesystem.
LORRY CLEANING
Regarding the lorry cleaning, differentimpurities get into the sewage, especially when cleaning the outsideparts and the transporting goods. For different problems AWAS hasproduced washing water cycle- and wastewater treatment plants. Thequality our our plants has been documented by test certificates andcertificates of the LGA and is also to be ascribed to a long lastingreliable and interference-free operation.
TANK CLEANING
Different products are transported intanks. In order to insure the quality of products the tanks have tobe cleaned before reuse. Usually the tanks are cleaned with water, steam and detergents. Before discharge into the sewerage, thewastewater has to be treated. AWAS advise you regarding a positive ornegative appraisement. Depending on necessity and the limit value fordischarge, the wastewater technology includes separating, conversiontransducer and equalizing step, biological treatment as well asflotation- and separation technology.
VEHICLE SERVICES
At the shop-floor level oil products(such as motor oils, fuels, greases, dissolvers), hydraulic fluids, anitfreezes, battery acids and brake fluids are used. Concerningmotor- and parts cleanings there will also be wastewater containingmineral oil. Depending on ancillary conditions (detergents, pressure, temperature, wrong chosen separators), stable or astable emulsionsaccumulate. Wastewater with stable emulsion can also arise undercertain ancillary conditions when the workshop grounds are cleanedwet. We would like to inform you about the "ancillary condition"in order to find the most economical solution for you, possibly withonly one intelligent separator.
DECONSERVATION
In order to protect the paint of newvehicles, the manufacturers apply a rust-proof coating. Concerningthe wastewater we have to differ between paraffin and acryl-polymerconservation. The preservatives can be recycled while this waxdeconservation. Other wastewater containing mineral oil, e.g. undercarriage wash, motor wash and component cleanings, can be treatedaccording to our complete concept by separator- and emulsionssplitting technic.
RAIL VEHICLE CLEANING
In order to remove contaminations atrailways hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid and alkaline cleaner aswell as rinse agents are used. Thereby the washing water can containheavy metals such as copper, zinc and iron as well as hydrocarbonsand settleable solids and might be strongly acid.
VEHICLE WASH PLANT
You would like to save costs bywashwater recycling? AWAS is your perfect contact. In the past 20years, AWAS has installed more than 1000 washing plants - benefitfrom our experience!
BALLAST WATER TREATMENT
The ballast water has to be dealtaccording to the ballast water accommodation dated february 2004 inorder to avoid danger against the oceanic treasures or the humanhealthy as well as to protect domestic ecosystems against thecarry-over of foreign organisms. Our treatment plants are suitable tobe installed groundside as well as shipside.
BILGE WATER TREATMENT
Oleiferous bilgewater is a mixture outof leak oil, leak water, cooling water and condensate. Additionally, also the outflow of the handwash basin is often conveyed into thebilgewater.
OIL DISASTER COMBAT
Regarding the oil disaster combats AWASdeveloped different systems. These differ from the usual systemsissofar, that the water-oil separation is already proceeded in thewater (sea as well as running inland waterways, wadden seas).Furthermore, the catamaran ist the best solution for special problemse.g. low waters and narrow shore areas.
The generally necessary transport ofhuge amounts of oil-water emulsions is high-priced and inefficient.Furthermore the transport drives the emulsion formation. This demandsa chemical-physical separation technology ashore.
MOVEMENT AREA DRAINAGE
Airports usually dispose of a largefastened surface area which could forward the accumulation of extremewastewater. Using our MSR-technics enable a direct treatment ofoil/sludge with the AWAS HI-3000 B, a reduction and/or an equilibriumof the effluent rainwater.
DE-ICING OF PLANS AND RUNWAYS
At wintertime aerofoils and movementareas are sprayed with de-icing products containing glykol. Theeffluent water features high organic stresses and is not allowed tobe directly discharged because of the high BSB/CSB respectivelyTOC-value. Concerning this area AWAS offers different solutions forwater treatment. Our AWAS staff would be pleased to show you internalreference objects.
OVERHAULING OF AEROPLANES IN HANGARS
When overhauling the aeroplanes, different mineral oil products (such as kerosene, greases, dissolvers) and hydraulic fluids, antifreezes and brake fluids areused. The wastewater treatment with our well-proven galaxie-vortexseparator and emulsion plants guarantees a reliable preliminarypurification and compliance of the required values.
